Leading Researcher Presented Partial Project Results on the Conference “State of Geomorphological Research in 2025“

During 9-11 April 2025, the project leader, doc. RNDr. Matej Vojtek, PhD., actively attended the international scientific conference “State of Geomorphological Research in 2025“, which was held at Slovak Academy of Sciences in Bratislava. The organization of the conference was carried out by the Association of Slovak Geomorphologists, Czech Association of Geomorphologists, Institute of Geography, Slovak Academy of Sciences, and Department of Physical Geography and Geoinformatics, Comenius University, Bratislava.
Doc. RNDr. Matej Vojtek, PhD. presented the research on the topic “Fluvial Flood Hazard Modeling with the Use of Height Above the Nearest Drainage Model and GIS“ in a poster session held on 10 April 2025. Moreover, he discussed the presented topic, which is a part of the project “Flood hazard mapping with the use of detailed geo-spatial data and hybrid approaches“, as well as the upcoming project tasks with other conference participants. The co-authors of the presented poster results were doc. RNDr. Jana Vojteková, PhD., who is a member of the project team, and also Bc. Sabína Kostolná, who is a student at the Department of Geography, Geoinformatics and Regional Development, Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra in the final year of her master study.
After the conference, the book of presented abstracts was published and it is freely available at this website: https://geography.sav.sk/web-data/science-research/conferences/SGR2025/book_of_abstract_SGR_2025.pdf
