Our Researchers Attended the EGU General Assembly 2025 in Vienna

During 27 April-2 May 2025, the project leader doc. RNDr. Matej Vojtek, PhD. and the team member doc. RNDr. Jana Vojteková, PhD. actively attended the international scientific conference “EGU General Assembly 2025“, which was held at the Austrian Center Vienna and organized by the European Geosciences Union. It is an annually organized conference event, which hosted in these days 20,984 registered attendees, of which 18,646 made their way to Vienna from 120 countries and 2,338 joined online from 104 countries. Moreover, 18,934 presentations were given in 1,102 sessions.

Doc. RNDr. Matej Vojtek, PhD. and doc. RNDr. Jana Vojteková, PhD. presented the research entitled “Mapping fluvial flood hazard at catchment and municipal scale: a case study from Slovakia“ in an afternoon poster session held on 28 April 2025. The presented poster is a part of the project “Flood hazard mapping with the use of detailed geo-spatial data and hybrid approaches“ and it is linked mainly to the second work package of this project. Throughout the conference, both co-authors of the presented poster had also the chance to attend many other oral and poster presentations and discuss similar issues to the ones being investigated in the project.
