During 8-11 September 2025, the project leader doc. RNDr. Matej Vojtek, PhD. and the team member doc. RNDr. Jana Vojteková, PhD. actively attended the 10th EUGEO Congress 2025 : Geographies of a Changing Europe, which was held at the Austrian Academy of Sciences in Vienna. The conference was organized by the Institute for Urban and Regional Research of the Austrian Academy of Sciences and Austrian Geographical Society (ÖGG). It hosted more than 500 registered participants from diverse European countries, but also countries outside Europe.
Our researchers presented the study entitled “Pluvial flood potential assessment at catchment and municipal scale “ in an oral session “Integrative geographical research in and about Europe: Concepts and applications (I)” held on 11 September 2025. The presented topic is a part of the project “Flood hazard mapping with the use of detailed geo-spatial data and hybrid approaches“ and it is linked mainly to the third work package of the project. Both our researchers had also the chance to attend other oral presentations and debate the scientific issues with the other participants.
