Our Researchers Attended the 5th Annual Meeting of the Mediterranean Geosciences Union in Athens

During 10-12 November 2025, the project leader doc. RNDr. Matej Vojtek, PhD. and the team member doc. RNDr. Jana Vojteková, PhD. actively attended the 5th Annual Meeting of the Mediterranean Geosciences Union (MedGU-25), which was held at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece. This international conference hosted more than 510 registered participants from 78 countries across the world.
Our researchers presented the study entitled “Fluvial and Pluvial Flood Inundation Mapping Using the 2D MIKE+ Hydraulic Model: a Case Study“ in an oral session held on 11 November 2025. The presented topic is a part of the project “Flood hazard mapping with the use of detailed geo-spatial data and hybrid approaches“ and it is linked mainly to the second and third work package of the project. Both our researchers had also the chance to attend plenary as well as other oral presentations and debate the scientific issues with other participants.
