Project results presented on the 11th IAG International Conference on Geomorphology in Christchurch

During 2-6 February 2026, the project leader doc. RNDr. Matej Vojtek, PhD. and the team member doc. RNDr. Jana Vojteková, PhD. actively attended the 11th IAG International Conference on Geomorphology, which was held in Christchurch, New Zealand. The conference hosted many researchers from the field of Earth Sciences worldwide.

Our researchers presented the study entitled “Comparative analysis of 1D and 2D hydraulic approach for fluvial flood inundation mapping“ in a poster session, “Hydrological extreme events, climate variability and environmental changes: patterns, controls, and attribution across scales and landscapes“ held on 5 February 2026. The presented topic is part of the project “Flood hazard mapping with the use of detailed geo-spatial data and hybrid approaches,” and it is linked mainly to the second work package of the project. Both our researchers also had the chance to attend plenary as well as other oral and poster presentations and discuss the scientific issues with other participants.

The conference abstract is freely available.
